The electric buses will operate in major cities like Amravati, Anantapur, Kadappa, Kakinada, Kurnool, Rajmundari, Nellore, Guntur, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, and Tirupati. The project will include 129 nine-meter buses and 621 twelve-meter buses, all fully electric.

This initiative comes after a recent deal for 675 electric buses in Rajasthan. It shows that India is quickly moving towards sustainable public transport. Sudhir Mehta, the founder of EKA Mobility, expressed pride in partnering with the Andhra Pradesh government.
