Get ready for a faster, more comfortable, and energy-efficient journey between Mumbai and Ahmedabad! Indian Railways is gearing up to introduce the third Vande Bharat Express train on this route, further enhancing connectivity between the two cities.

Enhanced Features and Performance

This new Vande Bharat train, manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai, has undergone rigorous testing, covering 15,000 kilometers to ensure it meets the highest standards. It boasts several improvements over its predecessors, including:

  • Increased Energy Efficiency: The train is designed to consume less energy, making it more environmentally friendly.

 

  • Enhanced Comfort: Passengers can expect a more comfortable ride, with improved seating and air conditioning systems.

 

  • Top-notch Safety: The train is equipped with advanced safety features, ensuring a secure and reliable journey.

Speed and Schedule

The new Vande Bharat train, adorned in a striking blue and white livery, will zip along the tracks at a maximum speed of 160 kilometers per hour, reaching this speed in just 140 seconds.

This translates to a significant reduction in travel time, with the journey between Mumbai and Ahmedabad taking approximately 5 hours and 25 minutes, a saving of around 45 minutes compared to previous models.

The train will operate six days a week, excluding Sundays. The Ahmedabad-Mumbai Central Vande Bharat Express (train number 22962) will depart from Ahmedabad at 06:10 AM and reach Mumbai Central at 11:35 AM. The return journey (train number 22961) will leave Mumbai Central at 3:55 PM and arrive in Ahmedabad at 9:25 PM.

  • Vadodara

  • Surat

  • Vapi

  • Borivali

  • Mumbai Central
