The Kaushambi and Sahibabad bus depots in Ghaziabad will soon be getting 37 new buses, including 12 sleeper coaches and 25 mini buses, aimed at boosting regional transportation and offering relief to commuters, especially those in rural and semi-urban areas.

Mini Buses to Reach Remote Villages

The 25 mini buses will primarily operate on rural and difficult-to-access routes, where running full-size buses is not feasible. These mini buses will greatly benefit daily commuters from areas like:

  1. Alawalpur Khajuri

  2. Hapur

  3. Pilkhuwa

  4. Loni

  5. Garhmukteshwar

  6. Dhaulana

  7. Singhavali

  8. Razapur

  9. Mawana

  10. Sarsawa

  11. Paratapur

  12. Kharkhauda

Mini buses will help ensure last-mile connectivity for passengers in low-accessibility zones.

Proposal Approved and Allocation This Year

The proposal for 37 buses was submitted by the regional administration and approved by the state government. According to Assistant Regional Manager Anshu Bhatnagar, the buses will be delivered and commissioned within this year. The addition of sleeper coaches will ease long-distance travel, while mini buses will provide effective transit on congested village roads.

12 Sleeper Buses for Intercity Travel

The 12 sleeper buses will be deployed on high-demand, long-distance routes, connecting Ghaziabad to cities like Banaras, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, and Prayagraj. These air-conditioned buses will offer improved comfort for overnight travel.
