In a significant development for long-distance train travel, Agra is likely to get another Sleeper Vande Bharat Express, this time aimed at connecting Agra to Mumbai via Aligarh. The journey, which currently takes around 16 to 17 hours for a distance of 1,350 km, is expected to be cut down to just 10 hours with this new high-speed train.

A senior Railway Board official revealed that the Agra–Mumbai proposal was sent a year ago and is under active consideration. Trial runs for a Mumbai–Agra–Jhansi Vande Bharat Express are expected soon.
If approved, the train will significantly boost connectivity and convenience for thousands of passengers traveling between northern and western India.
