Nitin Gadkari Promissed 2 Reforms in Delhi for Double Engine BJP Govt Win.

On Thursday, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari held a rally in support of a BJP candidate in Nangloi Jat. He spoke about the advantages of having a “double engine” government, meaning a BJP government both at the Center and in Delhi. Gadkari claimed that this arrangement would speed up the city’s progress significantly, comparing it to a bullet train.

Promises for Delhi’s Future

Gadkari made bold promises regarding the upcoming assembly elections scheduled for February 5. He assured the audience that if the BJP wins, Delhi would be free from traffic jams and air pollution within five years. He stated, “I give you my promise. If you establish a BJP government, we will tackle these issues effectively.” He also mentioned plans to remove landfill sites and replace them with gardens and educational institutions.

Criticism of AAP Government

The minister criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government for not addressing the water and pollution crises in Delhi. He expressed disappointment with their handling of these critical issues, particularly the Yamuna River’s cleanliness. Gadkari envisioned a future where Delhi and Agra would be connected via a clean Yamuna, allowing people to reach the Taj Mahal quickly.

Infrastructure Developments

Gadkari highlighted the ongoing infrastructure projects in Delhi, stating that significant investments are already underway. He mentioned that projects worth crores of rupees will be completed by December and that new projects worth Rs 35,000 crore will be initiated in the next four months. He projected that this amount could rise to Rs 1 lakh crore in the upcoming year.

Traffic and Pollution Solutions

During his address, Gadkari pointed out that 40 percent of Delhi’s pollution is caused by vehicles. He discussed the government’s plan to transition from fossil fuels to ethanol, aiming to empower farmers by making them fuel providers as well.

Commitment to Clean Delhi

Gadkari expressed his commitment to making Delhi cleaner and greener. He mentioned plans for 800 hectares of open green spaces to improve air quality, although he noted that the Delhi government had not yet approved these initiatives. His message was clear: the BJP is determined to improve Delhi’s environment and overall living conditions.
