Yamuna Expressway New Toll: Starting October 1, commuters on the Yamuna Expressway will face increased toll charges as the authorities have decided to hike the rates by an average of 4%. This will be the first toll revision since 2021-22, and the new rates are expected to impact thousands of daily travelers.
Toll Rates Increase Approved
The proposal to increase toll rates, which was initially submitted by Jaypee Infratech for the year 2022-23, will now be implemented for 2024-25. According to the Yamuna Expressway Authority, this moderate hike will ensure that commuters are not overburdened. The decision was approved in the 82nd board meeting held on Thursday.
Dr. Arunveer Singh, the Additional Chief Executive Officer of the Yamuna Authority, confirmed that the new toll rates will come into effect from October 1. The toll rate revision was also influenced by a directive from the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal regarding security and safety measures on the expressway.
