Four Upcoming EVs from Skoda and Volkswagen in India

Skoda and Volkswagen India are gearing up for several exciting EV launches, predominantly in the SUV segment, which is highly sought after by Indian consumers. Here are four anticipated EVs:

1. Skoda Enyaq

The Enyaq, showcased at the 2024 India Mobility Expo, will serve as Skoda’s flagship model. It boasts a 77kWh battery pack with dual motors, generating 265hp. Key features include nine airbags, a 13-inch touchscreen, and a panoramic sunroof.

Set to launch by year-end, the ID.4 will be Volkswagen’s first EV in India. With an 82kWh battery offering a range of 500kms and 300bhp, it promises impressive performance, including a 0-100 km/h time of just 6 seconds.

3. Skoda Elroq

The Skoda Elroq, a compact SUV, is expected to debut by 2026. Spanning approximately 4.5 meters, it will be built on the VW Group’s MEB platform, initially as a CBU.

4. Skoda Epiq

The Skoda Epiq, unveiled in concept earlier this year, is designed to be a sub-4.0-meter vehicle targeting the popular Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV400 EV. Its compact design will cater to the Indian market effectively.
