Volvo to Launch C40 Recharge EV in India
Swedish luxury car manufacturer Volvo has announced the launch of its new electric car, the C40 Recharge EV, in the Indian market. The auto company will unveil this electric car on June 14, which will be the second electric car from Volvo in the country. The C40 Recharge EV is based on the CMA platform and will be available in single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive configurations globally, jointly developed by Volvo and Geely. However, the company has not disclosed which configuration will be available in the Indian market.

Volvo plans to launch the C40 Recharge in India by the end of the year, before which the company will launch EV on June 14th. The company plans to launch the electric version of its SUV, the XC40, in the fourth quarter of 2023. According to Volvo Cars CEO, Nick Connor, the company’s position as a top player in the automotive industry allows it to take the risk of producing battery-electric vehicles (BEVs) and compete with its rivals.

The Volvo C40 Recharge comes with a new spacious cabin equipped with intuitive features, ambient lighting, and seats made from new materials. The car also features a premium Harman Kardon sound system. The vehicle will come with a 78kWh battery pack and will be capable of providing a range of up to 371 kilometers in a single charge. The car will be available in single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive configurations globally.

The Volvo C40 Recharge has an attractive and modern design, featuring the automaker’s signature styling elements. The seats are made with high-quality leather and wool blend and polyester recycling.
