Around 100 volunteers and office-bearers of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) from 45 regions across India have started arriving in Ayodhya to collect sacred rice. The ceremony will take place at the Tirth Yatri Seva Kendra around noon. The rice, which is offered to Ram Lalla at the Ram Janmabhoomi, will be handed over to the VHP’s volunteers. Each person will receive 5.25 kg of sacred rice in a metal pitcher.
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has divided the country into 45 regions, known as Prants, and at least two volunteers from each Prant will reach Ayodhya on Sunday. These volunteers will mix their sacred rice in larger quantities according to their requirements. After Vedic rituals, the rice will be distributed starting from January 1.
According to Sharad Sharma, regional spokesperson for the VHP, around 100 volunteers and office-bearers will reach Ayodhya on Sunday, where they will each receive 5.25 kg of sacred rice.
In addition, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust laid the foundation stone for the Yatri Suvidha Kendra on Saturday. The Kendra will be built on a 3,000 square meter area alongside the Janmabhoomi Path. The foundation stone was laid by Champat Rai and Mahant Dhinendra Das of Nirmohi Akhara.
This initiative by the VHP and the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust aims to involve volunteers and office-bearers from across the country in collecting sacred rice and distributing it to devotees. This event is part of the ongoing preparations for the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Overall, this initiative showcases the unity and commitment of the VHP and the Trust in fulfilling their responsibilities towards the construction of the Ram Temple and promoting the religious sentiments of the devotees.
