Higher Education Scholarship Scheme to Be Implemented in Uttarakhand

The Uttarakhand cabinet has approved the implementation of the Chief Minister Higher Education Scholarship Scheme for the meritorious students of undergraduate and postgraduate in state universities and government colleges. The scholarship scheme will be given to students securing the first three positions in each course. The scheme will be implemented from the academic session 2023-24 and can benefit graduate and postgraduate students of any regular course in state universities and government colleges. The scholarship will be given in two installments through DBT to eligible students. The scheme will put an annual burden of about Rs 17 crore in the exchequer of the state government.
