UP Government Launches Nand Baba Milk Mission at Rs 1,000 Crore Cost

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the Nand Baba Milk Mission on Tuesday, with an aim to make UP a leading state in milk production. The mission was started at a cost of Rs 1,000 crore to provide milk producers the facility to sell their milk at the right price in the villages themselves. The government will encourage cow-culture on a priority basis and create a large scale database of cow herders. UP’s milk business, being a profitable means of additional income in rural areas, is constantly trying to ensure the development of the rural economy in the state, to provide remunerative prices to the farmers for their milk, and to strengthen the agro-based infrastructure.
