MG Motors has recently announced a price cut for its cars, including the Hector. As a result, the Hector is now priced lower than its rival, the Tata Harrier. This price reduction also applies to the Hector Plus, making it more affordable compared to the 6/7 seater variants of the Mahindra XUV700. However, the Hector Plus is still priced higher than the Tata Safari.

MG Hector Price Cut Details

  • The diesel variant of the MG Hector has been reduced by up to Rs 80,000, while the petrol variant has seen a reduction of up to Rs 8,000.
  • The base-spec variant of the Hector is now Rs 54,000 cheaper than the base-spec Harrier.

  • The full-bodied MG Hector is significantly more affordable than the top-spec Harrier. However, the top-spec variants differ in terms of diesel and automatic powertrain options.

  • The Hector is still priced Rs 95,000 higher than the 5-seater base-spec variant of the Mahindra XUV700.

  • The diesel variant of the MG Hector Plus (three-row mid-size SUV) has been reduced by up to Rs 60,000, while the petrol variant is now Rs 5,000 cheaper.

  • However, the Tata Safari remains more affordable compared to the Hector Plus.
