According to reports, the company has trademarked the name “Land Hoppt” and has also filed for the FJ Land Cruiser in Japan. This announcement heralds the arrival of a new mini SUV in the Indian market.

The Land Cruiser Minnie, a fully new mini off-roader SUV based on the Land Cruiser 250 CTJ, is set to make its debut. It will be launched in global markets like the USA and Japan, and it’s poised to be a major player in the off-road segment. In India, it will face off against the likes of Mahindra Thar and Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
Land Cruiser Minnie’s Design and Look
The design of the Land Cruiser Minnie resembles a compact cruiser SUV with nearly flat roofs and high pillars. It’s expected to be longer than the five-door Jimny.
With a body-on-frame chassis, the vehicle’s dimensions are anticipated to be 4,350 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,880 mm in height. The concept design, featuring round LED headlights and a spare wheel on the tailgate, exudes a rugged appeal that is likely to attract customers at first sight.

Internally dubbed the “Jimny Killer,” the Land Cruiser Minnie might debut at the Tokyo Motor Show next month. Its powertrain lineup is rumored to include various options like a 2.0L petrol engine from the Corolla Cross, a 2.5L petrol/hybrid mill from the RAV4, and even a 2.8L turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine found in the Prado and Hilux.
