Tata Motors Launches Harrier EV for Booking

Tata Motors has officially started booking for its latest electric SUV, the Harrier EV. The base variant is priced at Rs 21.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers can secure their bookings with a token amount of Rs 21,000. This new model is part of Tata’s expanding electric vehicle lineup, and the company is offering an exclusive loyalty benefit of Rs 1 lakh for existing Tata EV customers who choose to purchase the Harrier EV.

Variants and Range

The Harrier EV will be available in three trims: Adventure, Adventure S, and Fearless+. It boasts an impressive range of 622 km on a single charge.

Features and Specifications

One of the standout features of the Harrier EV is its new 540-degree camera, which enhances the existing 360-degree surround view monitor system. This camera provides a view of what lies beneath the vehicle, helping drivers navigate off-road challenges and large obstacles more easily. The Harrier EV is also the first electric vehicle in the mass-market segment to feature a dual motor all-wheel-drive setup, with an electric motor on each axle. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.3 seconds when using boost mode.

Terrain Modes and Safety

Unlike the standard Harrier, which has three terrain modes (normal, rough, and weight), the Harrier EV introduces a total of six multi-terrain modes. These include normal, mud, rocks, sand, snow/grass, and a custom mode. Each mode adjusts the power delivery, traction control system, and throttle response to assist in difficult driving conditions. The vehicle has also received a 5-star safety rating from the Global NCAP.

Infotainment and Additional Features

The Harrier EV comes with a new 14.5-inch infotainment system, the largest ever offered in a Tata car. This Neo QLED display, developed by Samsung, provides a sharp and clear viewing experience. Additionally, there’s an extra camera located in the shark fin antenna, which feeds real-time visuals to the digital IRVM (Interior Rear View Mirror). This feature not only offers a clear view of what’s behind the vehicle but also includes a recording function for added security.
