Tata Altroz, the popular premium hatchback from Tata Motors, has been updated with a sunroof feature across all its variants. This makes it the second car in its segment, after Hyundai i20, to offer this feature. Interestingly, Altroz is also the most affordable car in its segment to come with a sunroof feature. The starting price of the sunroof variant is Rs. 7.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

Altroz now comes in a total of 13 variants with petrol, diesel, turbo-petrol, and CNG powertrains. Tata has added the sunroof feature to the mid-spec XM+ trim of Altroz. The sunroof variant is available in a total of 16 variants. The regular models with sunroof feature are priced up to Rs. 45,000 higher than the regular models without sunroof. Altroz Dark Edition also comes with a sunroof now.

Tata has not made any changes to the engine mechanism of the car. It continues to come with the same 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 86hp, 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine producing 110hp, and 1.5-liter diesel engine producing 90hp. These engines are coupled with a standard 5-speed manual transmission gearbox. However, the 1.2-liter petrol engine also gets a 6-speed automatic gearbox option.

Altroz comes with a 5-star safety rating, making it one of the safest hatchbacks in the country. It features a semi-digital instrument cluster with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car tech, ambient lighting, and cruise control. It also comes with several customization options. The car has dual front airbags, ISOFIX child-seat anchor, auto park lock (only in DCT), and rear parking sensors.

Overall, the sunroof feature addition to all the variants of Altroz makes it a more desirable car in its segment.
