DelhiDesk The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Bihar government and former MP Anand Mohan over his early release from life imprisonment in the murder case of G Krishnaiah, the then District Magistrate of Gopalganj in December 1994. The notice came after the deceased IAS officer’s wife, Umadevi Krishnaiah, filed a petition objecting to the release. The plea stated that the Bihar government made amendments to the Bihar Prison Manual with the sole objective to release Anand Mohan, who was sentenced to death by a trial court in 2007.
