A speeding BMW convertible was involved in a serious accident in the Delhi Gate area when it collided with a Tata Punch car. The impact was so severe that the BMW was dragged for nearly 100 meters from the site of the crash.
Fortunately, the driver of the BMW only suffered minor injuries, and thankfully, no pedestrians were harmed during the incident. Authorities are currently conducting a medical examination of the driver to ensure his well-being and assess any possible factors contributing to the crash.
Investigation Underway
Initial investigations suggest that the accident may have been caused by speeding or careless driving. The driver has been identified as Sukhwinder Singh, who was returning home from school at the time of the accident. Interestingly, there was also a Class 6 student in the car with him.
According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central), M. Harsh Vardhan, the BMW was recently purchased by a person named Aas Mohammad, who unfortunately was not present at the scene due to deportation issues. A case has been registered against Sukhwinder under the Indian Penal Code for rash driving.
Another Tragic Incident in Narnaul
In a separate incident, a tragic accident occurred in Narnaul, Haryana, claiming the lives of two businessmen. Three others were seriously injured and have been hospitalized, with their conditions considered critical. Reports indicate that the accident was caused by the driver dozing off, which led to a chaotic scene as passersby rushed to help.
Tragically, two people died at the scene, while the injured were quickly transported to a medical facility for urgent care. Both incidents highlight the importance of road safety and the dire consequences of reckless driving.
