Amazon has assured customers that if stores do not accept Rs 2,000 notes, they can hand them over to Amazon delivery agents as payment for their next cash-on-delivery order. This move aims to ease the worries of customers who are facing difficulties in exchanging their Rs 2,000 notes.
The Reserve Bank of India announced on May 19 that it would withdraw Rs 2,000 notes. Customers have until September 30 to deposit their Rs 2,000 notes into their bank accounts or exchange them for other notes at banks.
Customers can only exchange a maximum of 10 Rs 2,000 notes, equivalent to Rs 20,000, per day until September 30, 2023. Each customer can only exchange Rs 25,400 worth of notes.
