Rajasthan may see relief in petrol and diesel prices

The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot, has already provided a big relief to the people of the state by giving free electricity up to 100 units and waiving off various types of surcharges up to 200 units. Now, it is anticipated that Rajasthan may see relief in petrol and diesel prices as well.

Possible reduction in VAT

Since Rajasthan has the highest petrol and diesel prices in the country, it is expected that a reduction in VAT may be implemented. Last year, Gehlot reduced the price of petrol by Rs 2.48, and currently, the price of petrol in the state is around Rs 108-109. A reduction of Rs 3-4 may be expected, which would be a relief for the general public and may also benefit the Congress party in the upcoming elections.

Other possible relief measures

Apart from a possible reduction in petrol and diesel prices, Gehlot’s government may also increase the range of free electricity supply, provide a monthly allowance to women, offer free travel on state buses for women, and distribute Annapurna Rasoi Kits. These measures are aimed at providing relief to the people of Rajasthan and could be implemented from August.

In conclusion, Gehlot’s government has already taken significant steps to provide relief to the people of Rajasthan, and if the possible reduction in petrol and diesel prices is implemented, it will be a welcome move for the general public.
