Residents of Greater Noida have received encouraging news from the Noida Metro Rail Corporation. A Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed Aqua Metro link line, extending from Sector-142 to Botanical Garden, has been submitted for approval to the Uttar Pradesh government.
This project aims to provide better connectivity for Greater Noida residents, potentially easing travel to Delhi. The 38th Board Meeting of NMRC has already granted approval to expedite this project, with expectations of construction commencing soon.

Botanical Garden also serves as a junction for DMRC’s Blue Line, linking passengers to key destinations like New Delhi Railway Station, Anand Vihar Railway and Bus Stations. This expansion will significantly benefit Noida and Greater Noida residents, offering easier access to cities like Agra, Mathura, and Lucknow.
Management Insights
Dr. Lokesh M, Managing Director of NMRC, has confirmed that the DPR was submitted to the state government on Monday for approval. Post-approval, it will be forwarded to the Central Government. The corridor, spanning 11.56 km, is expected to serve approximately 80,000 commuters daily. The total cost of construction is estimated to be ₹2,254.35 Crore.
