Two coaches of the Somnath Express derailed near Jabalpur Railway Station in Madhya Pradesh early this morning. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported.
Details of the Incident:
- The train, which was coming from Indore, derailed while approaching platform number 6 at Jabalpur Railway Station.
- The derailment occurred at around 5:50 am, just 150 metres from the platform.
- The train was moving slowly at the time, which helped avoid any significant damage or harm to the passengers.
Official Statement:
Harshit Shrivastava, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of the West Central Railway, confirmed that all passengers were safe. “The train was coming from Indore and was heading towards platform number 6. Due to the slow speed, when the two coaches derailed, no one was harmed. The situation is under control, and the safety of the passengers was ensured,” he said.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the derailment, and efforts are underway to clear the tracks and restore normal services.
