Mercedes-Benz India is set to expand its electric vehicle (EV) lineup with the introduction of three new models this year. The first in line is the much-anticipated EQA, which is scheduled to debut on 8 July.

The EQA is an electrified version of the internal combustion engine (ICE)-powered A-Class and will be positioned below the EQB seven-seater electric SUV in Mercedes-Benz’s portfolio in India.

Design and Aesthetics

The EQA boasts a modern and sleek design, featuring a blanked-off grille with an LED light bar on top, dual-tone front and rear bumpers, and multi-spoke alloy wheels.

The lighting setup has been revised to include a connected light design on the tailgate, enhancing its futuristic appeal. These design elements not only improve the aesthetics but also emphasize the car’s electric nature.

Interior Features

Inside, the Mercedes-Benz EQA is loaded with advanced features. The cabin comes with dual 10.25-inch screens, a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, and turbine-style AC vents that give it a high-tech look.

Additional features include automatic climate control, the latest MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) system, and a Burmester-sourced music system, ensuring a luxurious and comfortable driving experience.

Global Variants and Specifications

On the global stage, the EQA is available in four trims: EQA 250, EQA 250+, EQA 300 4Matic, and EQA 350 4Matic. Two battery options are offered—66.5kWh and 70.5kWh—each paired with an electric motor.

These configurations provide a range of up to 560 kilometers according to the WLTP cycle, making the EQA a competitive option in the electric vehicle market.
