People from across the state will take out the procession and gather at Nalhar temple for a uniform yatra up to the Shringar temple ★with or without permission, it said.
Earlier, the yatra was disrupted by the violence that broke out in Nuh on July 31.
The event, named the ‘Sarva Jatiye Mahapanchayat,’ has attracted participants from nearby areas such as Palwal and Gurugram.
The gathering was originally planned to be held in Nuh district’s Kira village but permission was denied for it in view of the prevailing law and order situation.
Here are the demands made by the mahapanchayat:
★Investigation of Nuh violence should be handed over to NIA and not Haryana police.
★Survey the losses ★shops/homes etc of Hindus ★and provide compensation.
★Dissolve the status of Nuh as a district.
★Declare Nuh as a cow slaughter-free district.
★Hindus in Nuh should be given relaxation in securing arms license for self-defense (only with one application letter and one identity card).
★Cases registered in Nuh should be heard in a court outside Nuh, or else there will be no justice.
★Permanent Deployment of security forces ★RAF or police ★in Nuh.
★Compensation of Rs 1 crore and one appointment in a government job for families of Hindus who died during the violence and Rs 50 lakh for those who are injured.
★Rohingyas and people from any other country living in the city should be removed. Government should make a law to enforce the same.
The mahapanchayat is being held under the banner of ‘Sarv Hindu Samaj’, in which Hindu outfits including the Vishva Hindu Parishad are also taking part.
Six people, including two home guards and a cleric, died in the communal clashes that erupted in Nuh when a VHP procession was attacked by a mob on July 31.
