The Kia Ray EV is equipped with a 32.2kWh Lithium Ferrophosphate battery and a 64.3kW electric motor that generates 86bhp power and 147Nm peak torque. It offers a range of 205 km on a single charge, but in city driving conditions, it can provide a range of 233 km. The car comes with a portable charger of 7 kW, which takes around 6 hours for a full charge. However, with a 150 kW charger, the battery charges from 10% to 80% in 40 minutes.
Availability and Pricing:
The Kia Ray EV has been launched in the South Korean market and bookings will start from 12th September. It is expected to be introduced in India by 2025, with an estimated price of Rs 17.27 lakh.
