Kawasaki Launches Updated Ninja ZX-4RR in India

Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, India Kawasaki Motors (IKM), has introduced the updated version of its super sports bike, the Ninja ZX-4RR, in India. Priced at ₹9.10 lakh (ex-showroom), this bike sits above the Ninja ZX-4R in the Kawasaki lineup and is ₹61 thousand more expensive. As a high-performance bike, the Ninja ZX-4RR will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU) for Indian customers. The bike targets the middle-weight segment and competes with models such as the Yamaha R15 400, KTM RC390, and TVS Apache 310RR.

Design and Aesthetics

The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR comes in a single variant with a dual-tone color scheme inspired by the racing team, featuring a special lime green and metallic spark black combination. The bike boasts new design graphics, a muscular fuel tank, dual pod LED headlights, an upright windscreen, clip-on handlebars, and full-fairing with flash-fitted indicators. Additional design elements include split-type seats, an upswept exhaust system, a tapered tail section, and sleek LED taillamps, making it visually appealing and aerodynamic.

Performance and Comfort

This sports bike is built on a trellis frame and features Showa USD front forks and a pre-load adjustable rear monoshock suspension, ensuring a comfortable ride for the rider. The braking system includes a 290 mm dual front disc brake and a 220 mm rear disc brake, equipped with dual-channel ABS and Kawasaki traction control for enhanced safety and control. The driver seat is designed to sit on 17-inch alloy wheels, contributing to the bike’s stability and performance.
