Railways to launch second Vande Bharat train in Karnataka
Railway enthusiasts in Karnataka have a reason to rejoice as the state is all set to get its second Vande Bharat train. According to Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, the train will run between Bengaluru and Hubli-Dharwad from July this year. This announcement was made after Prahlad Joshi met Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav to discuss the matter.
The launch of this Vande Bharat Express has been in the works for some time now, but it was delayed due to the electrification of the downline between the two cities. The Hubli-Dharwad region is an educational hub with various institutions, and the Vande Bharat Express is expected to ease connectivity to the capital city.
This will be the second Vande Bharat train for Karnataka, with the first one already running between Chennai, Bengaluru, and Mysuru. Indian Railways is also planning to launch new Vande Bharat services between Bengaluru-Coimbatore and Bengaluru-Kacheguda (Hyderabad).
Currently, Vande Bharat Express is running on 17 routes across the country, with the recent launch of the Delhi-Dehradun route. The new routes include New Delhi-Varanasi, New Delhi-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra (Jammu & Kashmir), Gandhinagar-Mumbai, and Chennai-Mysore, among others.
Railway authorities have completed all necessary preparations to launch the second Vande Bharat train in Karnataka, and passengers can expect a luxurious and comfortable experience onboard. The train will provide a convenient mode of transport for people traveling between Bengaluru and Hubli-Dharwad, and is expected to boost tourism in the region.
In conclusion, the launch of the second Vande Bharat train in Karnataka is a significant development that will benefit passengers traveling between the two cities. With the increasing popularity of Vande Bharat Express, Indian Railways is expected to launch more such services in the coming years.
