DelhiDesk India’s Minister for Power and New & Renewable Energy, Raj Kumar Singh, has warned wind energy equipment makers against focusing too much on the international market and neglecting the domestic market as the country’s renewable energy capacity increases. Speaking at the CII Annual Session 2023, Singh suggested that wind energy equipment makers should be mandated to sell at least 50% of their products in India. He also warned solar equipment makers against profiteering and urged them to avoid supplying most of their produce to international markets, as India’s domestic demand for renewable energy continues to grow.
