The entire process of making the national flag, from cutting, stitching, printing to designing, is done by women, and the Asok Chakra is printed on the Tricolour. The unit has been in operation since 1957 and is responsible for supplying national flags to every state, adorning the Parliament and the offices of all central ministries.
