Changes in Rules from 1st June 2023

With the new month beginning in just two days, several changes in rules are set to take place from 1st June 2023. These changes will affect bank transactions, ITR filings, LPG cylinders, and EPFO account holders.

EPFO rules will change

Effective from June 1, 2023, all EPFO account holders are required to link their PF account with their Aadhaar card. Those who fail to link their Aadhaar with PF by this date may face losses. A notification has been issued by EPFO regarding this.

Changes in ITR website

From June 7, 2023, the new ITR website will be launched. Those who file ITRs will not be able to use the website from 1st to 6th June 2023. Instead, they will have to visit the new website www.incometaxgov.in. During this period, the e-filing service of the Income Tax Department will not work.

Bank of Baroda is changing the method of check payment

Starting from June 1, 2023, Bank of Baroda will change the method of check payment. Customers who issue checks of Rs 2 lakh or more will have to confirm the details of their checks first.

Changes in Small Savings Scheme interest rates

The interest rates of Small Savings Scheme may change as the government reviews them every quarter. From June 30, 2023, the new interest rates will be implemented.

Gas cylinder prices to increase

The prices of gas cylinders are reviewed by government oil companies every month. On the 1st of June, 2023, the prices of gas cylinders are set to increase. Currently, the prices of gas cylinders are more than Rs 1000 in many cities of the country.
