Analysts predict that shares could rise by around 24% from their current level of INR530.45 ($7.16). The company’s net profit jumped 18.6% YoY to INR305 crore in the March quarter, with sales of its flagship product Parachute growing by 9%. Marico sells products under brand names including Saffola, Parachute, Revive, Set Wet, Beardo and Nihar. The company’s shares have risen by 13,000% in 20 years, from INR4.05 in 2003 to their current level.
