Female doctor beheaded and robbed near Khooni Door in Delhi, according to reports.

Near Khooni Darwaza in New Delhi, a female doctor was brutally attacked and robbed on Tuesday night. The 30-year-old victim, identified as Dr. Pooja Meena, was on her way to LNJP Hospital when the assailant broke her head and snatched her phone and bag. She was immediately rushed to LNJP Hospital and is currently undergoing treatment. The police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.

Attack on the Victim

Dr. Pooja Meena, a resident of Palam village, works at LNJP Hospital and lives near the hospital in Vikram Nagar. She was walking to the hospital on foot as she was on a night shift. Suddenly, a miscreant approached her from behind the gate of Maulana Azad Medical College, near the bloody door, and attacked her head with a stick. Despite the injuries, she managed to reach the gate of the medical college and informed the security guard about the incident.

Efforts to Apprehend the Culprit

The security guard attempted to chase the attacker, but he managed to escape. The guard then rushed Dr. Pooja Meena to the hospital for immediate medical attention. Once her condition stabilized, an FIR was registered on Wednesday to initiate a formal investigation into the incident. The medical community is deeply shocked by this incident, especially considering that a similar heinous crime took place in the same area in 2002, where a female doctor was raped at knife point in broad daylight.
