Train Services to Accommodate Post-Puja Rush
In light of the increased number of passengers traveling after the recent puja celebrations, train services are being adjusted for better convenience. Specifically, train number 02252 is set to run between Patna and New Delhi. The operational period of the New Delhi-Patna-New Delhi Vande Bharat Special has been extended, and two additional trips will be added to the schedule. This change was announced by the Chief Public Relations Officer, Saraswati Chandra, ensuring that travelers have more options for their journeys.
Details of New Train Operations
The new schedule outlines that the New Delhi to Patna Vande Bharat Special will operate on December 1 and December 4, 2024. Conversely, the Patna to New Delhi Vande Bharat Special will run on December 2 and December 5, 2024. However, it’s important to note that due to necessary works at Kotshila station in the Adra division, several trains will experience cancellations and diversions. For example, the Vardhaman-Hatia-Vardhaman Express will be canceled from November 30 to December 5, 2024.
Changes Due to Yard Remodeling Work
Additionally, some trains will be operating on diverted routes starting December 1, 2024. For instance, the Ranchi-Howrah-Ranchi Express will take a new route via Muri, Gunda Bihar, Chandil, Tata, and Kharagpur. Similarly, the Anand Vihar-Puri Express will also operate on a different route. Several other trains, including the Ranchi-Patna Janshatabdi Express and the Howrah-Ranchi Shatabdi Express, will run via different stations on specified dates. Lastly, the Dhanbad-Bhubaneswar special train will be rescheduled to depart one hour later than originally planned on December 5, 2024.
