Weather Update: Delhi to experience fluctuating temperatures

New Delhi has been enjoying pleasant weather for the past two days, thanks to cloudy skies and a drop in temperature. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather will remain normal with occasional fluctuations in temperature for the next five days. The Meteorological Department has reported the formation of a low-pressure area over the northwest Bay of Bengal near the West Bengal and Odisha coasts. It is expected to move west-northwestwards over North Odisha and South in the next two days.

The Meteorological Department predicts a minimum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius for today. Overall, Wednesday will be hotter and more humid compared to the previous day, with strong winds blowing at a speed of 35 to 40 kilometers per hour.

Temperature was higher than normal yesterday

According to the Safdarjung Observatory in Delhi, the maximum temperature recorded on Tuesday was 36.1 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 26.4 degrees Celsius, which was also two degrees above normal. It is worth noting that Delhi experienced heavy rainfall on Saturday, after which the weather has remained dry.
