DelhiDesk: Starting May 23, bank branches will begin the process of exchanging 2000 rupee notes. The RBI has sent the format for exchanging notes to banks and it is mandatory for individuals to show original valid identity proof at the counter while exchanging notes. Six documents are acceptable for this purpose, including Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Voter ID Card, Passport, NREGA Card, and Population Register. The RBI made this decision to eliminate black money.
