EKA Mobility, a top electric vehicle company in India, has big news. They received a letter of approval to deploy electric buses in Rajasthan. This is a part of the Pradhan Mantri E-Bus Seva Yojana, in collaboration with Chartered Speed.
Where Will the Buses Go? 🗺️
These electric buses will travel across eight major cities in Rajasthan. The cities include Jaipur, Kota, Udaipur, Ajmer, Alwar, Bikaner, Bhilwara, and Jodhpur. A total of 675 electric buses will be deployed, with 565 being 9 meters long and 110 being 12 meters long.

The main goal of these buses is to reduce carbon emissions and provide clean and modern transport solutions. This initiative aligns with Rajasthan’s promise to cut air pollution, lessen reliance on fossil fuels, and improve the public transport system.

EKA Mobility’s achievement in Rajasthan comes after getting major contracts worth ₹150 crore from Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) and another order worth ₹400 crore from Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC). This shows EKA’s growing presence in India’s electric mobility sector and its commitment to zero emissions and sustainable transport solutions.
