New Delhi ★The people of Delhi had to face severe heat till Thursday afternoon. In the afternoon, there was light to moderate rain at many places, which brought relief to the people from the heat. It rained due to the activation of a new weather system in the Bay of Bengal.
It was sunny in most parts of Delhi since Thursday morning. The sun remained bright and sunny till noon. This increased the temperature. The maximum temperature at the standard observatory Safdarjung was 37.4 degrees Celsius, which is four notches above normal. The minimum temperature was 27 degrees Celsius. This is one degree more than normal. The humidity level here ranged from 76 to 50 percent.

After noon, the weather changed in most parts. Weather stations like Narela and Najafgarh recorded more than 27 mm of rain. Due to these reasons, there has been light to moderate rain in some parts of Delhi. The weather is expected to remain dry on Friday. There may be drizzle in different areas on Saturday and Sunday.
