The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has announced that this interruption is necessary due to essential repair work. If you live in the affected areas, it’s crucial to be prepared for this disruption, as it will last from 11 AM to 11 PM.
Affected Areas to Note
A number of neighborhoods will face water supply issues, including Civil Lines, Hindu Rao Hospital, Kamla Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Karol Bagh, Pahar Ganj, and various parts of Rajendra Nagar and Patel Nagar. The DJB has also specified that Baljit Nagar, Prem Nagar, Indrapuri, certain sections of the Cantonment areas, and regions around NDMC and South Delhi will be impacted. This is due to necessary repairs on a leaking main pipeline located in the Dr. Ambedkar National Memorial complex.
Plan Ahead and Conserve Water
During this period of water supply disruption, residents are strongly encouraged to conserve water. To assist those affected, the DJB will provide water tankers upon request. If you need a tanker, you can reach out to the DJB helpline or their central control room for assistance. The DJB typically operates a fleet of 1,000 tankers that make multiple trips across Delhi each day, and they can arrange for extra tankers in emergencies.
