DelhiDesk Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has introduced QR code-based paper tickets for passengers traveling on all its lines. The move is aimed at making the system more transparent and human intervention-free. The DMRC said it will phase out the concept of physical tokens gradually. Passengers will be able to buy QR code-based paper tickets from station counters. The DMRC has upgraded its automatic fare collection gates and token or customer care counters to support the new feature, a senior official said. The QR code tickets will be issued station-wise only, and AFC gates across the network will be made QR code-compliant by the end of June.
