– The accused had befriended the survivor on social media platform Instagram.
– He has been booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
– The girl had gone missing from her house on June 6, and her parents reported the matter to the local police station.
– After being rescued and reunited with her family, the case was updated with charges of rape under the Indian Penal Code and relevant sections of the POCSO Act.
– The accused was apprehended from the Botanical Bus Stand in Noida.
– According to the police, the accused manipulated and lured the minor girl into accompanying him before committing the sexual assault.
