The medical facilities related to the treatment of children from the new private ward of AIIMS are being shifted to the recently opened Mother and Child Block. This move comes as the Director of AIIMS has directed to shift the facilities of the Pediatric Department to the Maternal and Child Block by September 30. With this, all treatment facilities related to children and women will be available under one roof.

One of the significant changes will be the provision of chemotherapy for cancer patients. A senior doctor at AIIMS stated that the vacant space in the new private ward will now be used for chemotherapy of cancer patients. Previously, the nursery of the pediatric department was running in the new private ward due to the underdeveloped nursery facility in the mother and child block. However, the nursery facilities have now been developed in the mother and child block, prompting the shift of services related to the treatment of children.

By September 30, all the facilities related to the treatment of children will be available under one roof in the Mother and Child Block. This move aims to streamline the medical services offered by AIIMS and improve the convenience for both patients and healthcare providers.
