Former Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu questioned by CID in Skill Development Corporation scam case
A team from Andhra Pradesh Police CID began interrogating former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu in the Skill Development Corporation scam case at the central prison in Rajamahendravaram. Naidu was granted two days’ police custody by the ACB Court in Vijayawada for further interrogation.

- TDP state president K Atchen Naidu announced that the party’s legal wing will approach the Supreme Court after the Andhra Pradesh High Court dismissed N Chandrababu Naidu’s FIR quash petition.
- The AP Skill Development Corporation scam case pertains to the establishment of clusters of Centers of Excellence (CoEs) in Andhra Pradesh with a total estimated project value of ₹300 crore.
- The alleged fraud has caused a loss of over ₹300 crores to the state government.
- The investigation revealed irregularities such as diversion of government funds to shell companies through fake invoices.
- The total amount spent by private entities on six skill development clusters is sourced exclusively from funds advanced by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and AP Skill Development Center, totaling ₹371 crores.
Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was arrested in connection with the case and was produced in the ACB Court in Vijayawada. The CID is now conducting further interrogation to uncover more details about the scam.
