There’s a significant update on the construction of the metro line between Sector 142 on the Aqua Line and the Botanical Garden Station on the Blue and Magenta Lines in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has requested INR 25 lakh from the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) to prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the route between Sector 142 and Botanical Garden.
DPR in Final Stages
NMRC officials have stated that the DPR work is in its final stages. The estimated route length is approximately 11.5 kilometers. DMRC is preparing the DPR for the new route, which will connect Sector 142 with Botanical Garden via Sectors 125, 97, 98, and 91. The demand for funds is for the completion of this report. Once NMRC pays the remaining amount, the DPR will be handed over to them.
Estimated Costs and Route Details
The construction of this 11.56-kilometer route is estimated to cost around INR 2254.35 crore. The new route will include eight stations and is expected to enhance connectivity between Noida and Greater Noida.

Enhanced Connectivity
The upcoming 11-kilometer elevated metro track will significantly improve connectivity between Noida, Greater Noida, Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Trans Hindon areas. The extension of the Aqua Line from Botanical Garden Metro Station to Sector 142 will make commuting smoother and faster. After receiving the DPR, the project will be presented for approval in the authority meeting, paving the way for construction to commence.

The metro line will feature stations at Botanical Garden, Noida Sector 44, Noida Office (Sector 96), Noida Sector 97, and Noida Sector 105. Additional stations will be located at Noida Sector 108, Noida Sector 93, Sector-91 Panchsheel Balak Inter College, with the final station at Noida Sector 142, which already has an existing station.
