AAP’s Arvind Kejriwal Targets Central Government, Calls ‘One Nation-One Election’ a Political Move

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal criticized the central government on Monday, accusing them of seeking votes through the political concept of ‘one nation-one election’ after being in power for nine years.

Kejriwal argued that if someone raises the topic of ‘one country, one election’ after being in power for nine years, it implies that they have not accomplished much. He emphasized that if the government had indeed achieved significant progress in their tenure, they would have presented their accomplishments and plans for the future, rather than relying on the ‘one nation-one election’ pitch. Kejriwal stressed the need for uniformity in education and healthcare across the nation.

He proposed a vision of having a unified country with multiple elections. Kejriwal argued that if elections were held once every five years, BJP leaders would not even make an appearance in between. He advocated for more frequent elections, suggesting one election every three months.

Arvind Kejriwal’s Six Guarantees for Rajasthan

Prior to the upcoming assembly elections in Rajasthan, Arvind Kejriwal made six promises during a program. These guarantees include providing a one crore honorarium to the families of army and police martyrs, offering permanent appointments to contractual employees, ensuring free education and healthcare, and providing a monthly allowance of Rs 1000 to women above 18 years of age. The guarantees also encompass a commitment to a corruption-free Rajasthan and providing free electricity up to 300 units per month.

Revamping Government Schools

Kejriwal pledged to improve government schools and put an end to the exploitation by private schools. He vowed to establish excellent schools similar to those in Delhi and convert temporary teaching positions into permanent ones. Kejriwal emphasized that teachers should focus solely on teaching and not be burdened with additional tasks. He also promised to eradicate corruption in Rajasthan, asserting that there is sufficient funding available, and the key lies in eliminating corrupt practices. Additionally, he announced plans to establish Mohalla clinics in every village and city.
