Another Vande Bharat Express Starting From 15 September. Route, Time Table All Details Announced.

Railway passengers are in for some great news as another Vande Bharat Express train is soon to be launched. The semi-high-speed train is set to begin operations in Odisha on September 15, 2024. According to reports, the new train will run between Tatanagar Junction in Jharkhand and Berhampur in Odisha.

The route will pass through Bhubaneswar and Keonjhar. It is expected that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the new train. Before its official launch, the train will undergo trial runs on Sunday and Tuesday.

Trial Runs and Timings

The Times of India reported that the first trial run of this new Vande Bharat Express will cover the Tatanagar-Berahampur route, while the second trial run will be conducted between Tatanagar and Patna. According to officials, the train will depart from Tatanagar at 5:20 AM and arrive at Berhampur by 2:30 PM.

This means the 586 km journey between Tatanagar and Berhampur will take 9 hours and 10 minutes. On the return journey, the train will depart from Berhampur at 3:00 PM and reach Tatanagar at 11:55 PM the same night.

Schedule and Maintenance

The new Vande Bharat Express will operate six days a week, excluding Tuesdays. Its primary maintenance will be conducted at Tatanagar. Additionally, for passenger convenience, the train will halt for 15 minutes at Khurda Road Station.

Ticket Prices and Existing Vande Bharat Trains in Odisha

Currently, there is no official confirmation regarding the ticket prices for this new service, and passengers are waiting for the fare chart to be released by the Indian Railways. Currently, Odisha already has three operational Vande Bharat trains:

1. Puri-Howrah
2. Rourkela-Howrah
3. Bhubaneswar-Visakhapatnam

This upcoming Vande Bharat Express will be the fourth one for Odisha, providing even more travel convenience to the region’s passengers.
