The Honda Civic has been a favorite among consumers since its introduction in 1972, known for its compact size, fuel efficiency, and reliability. Over the years, it has evolved through multiple generations, offering a range of body styles including sedan, coupe, hatchback, and wagon.

Popular Choice for Consumers

During the 1980s and 1990s, the Civic solidified its reputation as a practical and economical choice for consumers. It gained popularity in India in the 2000s and briefly in its tenth-gen avatar a few years ago. Globally, it became known for its sporty variants such as the Civic Si and Type R.

New Updates for 2025

In its eleventh generation, the Honda Civic has received an update in the US and will be available in four variants. Buyers can choose from sedan and hatchback body types, along with hybrid options – Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid with a combined fuel efficiency of nearly 21.3 kmpl, as per EPA rating.

Impressive Power and Features

The facelifted Civic comes with dual electric motors working alongside a 2.0L inline four-cylinder Atkinson cycle petrol engine, delivering a maximum power of 200 hp and 315 Nm – making it the most powerful non-Type R trim ever. The hybrid system features regenerative braking in four levels and the Sport Touring model includes wheel resonators for reduced NVH levels.

Variants and Engines

The LX variant will be available in sedan guise only, along with the Sport variants, equipped with a regular 2.0L engine producing 158 hp and 187 Nm.
