DelhiDesk: Patients undergoing bone surgery at AIIMS, Delhi will soon be able to access affordable orthopedic implants from Amrit Pharmacy. Currently, patients have to purchase implants at expensive rates, but AIIMS has identified a location for a counter near the pharmacy where patients will be able to obtain implants at up to 60% cheaper rates. The facility is expected to be available in four to five months. The move is aimed at providing relief to patients who have to bear high costs for surgeries and implants.
