CHENNAI: DMK leader A King has sparked controversy by equating Sanatana Dharma with HIV and leprosy during a protest meeting in Chennai. Speaking against the Vishwakarma Yojana organized by Dravidar Kazhagam, Raja compared Sanatana Dharma to diseases like malaria, dengue, HIV, and leprosy. He stated that Sanatana Dharma should be considered a social disgrace, similar to HIV and leprosy. Raja also criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for supporting Sanatana Dharma and stated that a ‘good’ Hindu should not cross the seas. He challenged Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to a debate on Sanatana Dharma and varnashrama.
