Police Arrest Accused with Fake Notes Worth Rs 1.22 Lakh
New Delhi ★Police have arrested an accused from ISBT Kashmiri Gate with fake notes worth Rs 1.22 lakh. The investigation revealed that the accused was taking a consignment of fake notes to Bareilly. The arrested accused had taken five thousand rupees to deliver a bag full of fake notes to Bareilly.
East Delhi DCP Amrutha Guguloth said that during patrolling, the police saw a young man roaming around with a bag in a suspicious condition at ISBT Kashmiri Gate. On suspicion, the young man was searched. During this time, his bag was found filled with notes. When the police looked carefully, all the notes were fake. The arrested accused is Chhaviram, a resident of Badaun. He told during interrogation that the bag full of notes was given to him by Asif, who worked as a labor contractor. This bag was to be delivered to Bareilly. Police have recovered five bundles of fake notes of Rs 100 and four bundles of fake notes of Rs 200 from the bag.
The accused had promised Chhaviram to pay five thousand rupees for this work. Police said that the accused Asif is being searched. After Asif’s arrest, the entire network will be revealed.
