In a major boost to regional rapid transport infrastructure, the proposed Delhi–Neemrana Namo Bharat corridor will soon witness metro trains running alongside Namo Bharat trains, including within Gurugram city limits. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has given approval to the revised Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the route, which will operate on a single dedicated track.

No need for separate tracks, confirms NCRTC

The NCRTC (National Capital Region Transport Corporation) has confirmed that the existing RRTS infrastructure will support metro services in select areas like Gurugram, thereby eliminating the need for a separate corridor. The project will cover an approximate length of 105 km, with a total project cost of ₹34,299 crore.

16 Stations Planned Across NCR and Rajasthan

Delhi, Gurugram, Rewari, and Neemrana to be connected by 2029

According to project documents, the route will include 16 stations, spanning across Delhi (Sarai Rohilla), Gurugram, Rewari, and extending up to Neemrana in Rajasthan. The Namo Bharat trains will run parallel to the Delhi–Jaipur Highway. The project is seen as a key step toward regional connectivity and economic growth along the corridor.

Government to Provide 40 Hectares for RRTS Depot in Gurugram

Land allocation under active consideration

The Chief Minister has directed the Haryana government to allocate 40 hectares of land for setting up the RRTS depot. This land will be essential for both Namo Bharat and future metro train operations on the corridor. The proposal aims to integrate metro infrastructure with RRTS to ensure seamless transit options.

State Seeks Land from Rajasthan Too

70 hectares required to establish station in Neemrana

The state has also reached out to the Rajasthan government to provide 70 hectares of land in Neemrana for construction of terminal and depot facilities. Officials have emphasized that Rajasthan must expedite the process to ensure timely execution and smooth operations.

Haryana government shows intent to extend network

In a related development, the state government has expressed willingness to advance plans for the Gurugram–Faridabad–Noida Metro corridor. The Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation (HMRTC) and NCRTC are coordinating to ensure feasibility and route finalization.
