Ghaziabad: 35 policemen of Loni Border Police Station to be booked for fake case

- Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Vibhanshu Sudhir has ordered the registration of a case against 35 policemen of Loni Border Police Station, including Inspector-in-charge Yogendra Panwar and Vibhanshu Tomar.
- The policemen have been accused of lodging a false case against Mahant Monu Sharma and his wife Deepa and sending them both to jail.
- According to Deepa’s lawyer, the policemen lodged a false case after Mahant Monu Sharma refused to pay extortion money of Rs two lakh per month to Manish Bhati, Balli and Vikas Mavi of the village.
- The accused had allegedly beaten Mahant Monu Sharma and his wife during a wedding ceremony in the temple and looted goods from there.
- After filing a complaint, the police made him sit in the police station and later made a case of obstruction in government work, which led to his arrest and imprisonment.
- The court has ordered the registration of the case after hearing both sides.
